New Munich opened its 2014 campaign with a 11-6 win over Roscoe on Sunday, May 4th at the Roscoe ballpark.  With the weather finally allowing some area games the Streaks shook off the winter rust with a 5 run 2nd inning to take a 5-1 lead.  Aided by a couple of base on balls and a HBP, the Streaks mixed in a couple of timely hits as they batted 11 guys in the inning.  The Rangers responded with solo runs in the 3rd and 4th innings but that would be as close as they got.  In the 5th, New Munich added another 5 spot to open the game up.  The 5th was almost a duplicate of the 2nd inning with a mix of walks, 2 hit batters and 4 base hits to bat around and plate 5.  New Munich added a lone run in the 6th.  Jon Gaebel lead New Munich with 3 hits and 3 RBIs.  Six other Streaks drove in runs and Joe Stangler reached base all 6 plate appearances including 3 HBPs.  Jim Thull, Ty Reller, Andrew Gieske, and Nick Stangler toed the rubber for the Streaks to start the season.
